Vidah Awuor

8th Grade Graduates of 2018 (Rodi)

Vidah came to Achungo 9 years ago and joined our preschool class.  Her parents had died of illnesses, first, her father when she was very young, and then, her mother when she was in 4th grade.  She has two brothers and two sisters and two cousins.   They all live nearby with her aunt and uncle.  When she is home on break, she helps with chores and likes to read.
Her favorite subjects are Science, English and Math.  After her studies, she likes to play volleyball, tell stories with her friends, and read books in the library.
She told us, “I like Achungo because the performance in the school is always high.  The best thing why I go to school is because I want to achieve my goal and become a good citizen in the future, because ‘every child is an achiever.’   After I finish my schooling I want to be an accountant in the city so that in the future I can help some citizens and reduce the rate of corruption in Kenya.”
