At Achungo, students find something different.
Children receive consistent care, education, daily meals, and a structured environment where they are known, supported, and where they plan to succeed. For students who need it, dormitory housing provides a safe place to live and study, and to support those preparing evenings for the national exams.

Two primary school campuses in Rodi and Imbo that are the top in the county
A middle school (junior secondary school) that is one of the best in the nation.
Dormitory housing for students needing stability and for all students grades 6 through 9, who study weekday evenings for national exams.
Secondary school scholarships for all our graduates covering tuition, room and board, materials, and incidentals.

Rodi & Imbo Schools
Two primary school campuses and a junior secondary school (middle school) providing quality education, mentoring, food, and care, including clothing and medical as needed. Top-performing students with consistently outstanding national exam success.
Secondary School & Beyond
We support students beyond primary school through scholarships and sponsorships. Education becomes a path to opportunity, dignity, and a better future.
Family Service Trips
Travel to Kenya, connect with students, and experience the impact firsthand. Serve, learn, and be part of the mission. It is an unforgettable experience.
Our Founder, Michael Nyangi lost his father at age seven. He experienced first hand how poverty can shape a child’s future. Rather than pursue a comfortable career after becoming a CPA, he began helping women in the Nairobi slums, and back in his village, taking orphaned children into his own home to care for them.
In 2005, Achungo Children’s Centre was officially registered in Kenya.
