8th Grade Graduates of 2022 April (Rodi)

My parents died when I was very small and I live with my grandmother, sister and brother. When I was about 4 years old, Director Michael came to our home and decided to sponsor me at Achungo. It is a very nice school and cares about orphans. I was so happy that somebody cared about my future. My brother and sister are also sponsored by Achungo.

My grandmother is now 89 years old and can’t manage to do everything for me. She has no work but she has a small vegetable garden. The vegetables are good for me because I have been suffering from different diseases.

When I first came to Achungo I realized that the children here are all orphans. The best thing about Achungo is that they care for the orphans. Madam Lillian is my favorite teacher. She loves me and takes care of orphans. My best friend is Kehannah and we study together. I like sitting with her, making jokes and encouraging each other. I work hard and try to achieve high marks to reach my dreams. In the future I would like to be a pharmacist so when I’m being paid, I will be able to sponsor orphans to go to school.

Being at Achungo is the best because they care for us and love and encourage us. They also provide food and shelter and whatever else the orphans need.
