I came to Achungo 6 years ago when I had nowhere to go. I had been attending a public primary school near my home but I had no one to pay the school fees and had to leave. My parents had died in a road accident. Then, I met a kind neighbor who brought me here to Achungo.
I was very happy to be accepted with a scholarship at Achungo and be able to study here. I love all my teachers because they help us to work hard and do the right thing. Since coming to Achungo I am reading well and have friends to talk with. The guardian who was helping me passed away, and my brother also had passed away, so I had no one to talk with or to laugh with.
I am so happy to have a good friend here, Britney, who is good to me. We share ideas and review our studies together. On breaks and holidays, I used to visit my guardian. She was good to me and let me stay in her home. When I remember my parents and my brother, I feel lonely and cry in pain and sometimes I can’t eat or sleep.
When I finish my studies, I want to become a lawyer because I want to help the poor and children who are orphans. I love Achungo so much and really appreciate what they have done for me.
