Roveline

8th Grade Graduates of 2022 April (Rodi)

Roveline (13) doesn’t remember her parents as she was about a year old when they died. She lived near Director Michael with her grandmother and learning that there was no money for her schooling, he brought her to Achungo at 3 years old. Her grandmother died soon after from cancer and Achungo Director Michael took her into his home to be cared for by his mother. Michael has also offered to bring her brother to Achungo, but he is not interested and lives on the street.

She told us, “When I came to Achungo I knew that my life had changed and I would not be mistreated or become ill. When I am through with school I want to be both an optician and police. I want to help those with eye problems and also visit America.

At Achungo I got an opportunity to study hard. I had someone sponsor me which is the Director. I always pray and ask the Almighty God to continue keeping our school with sponsors. I like Achungo. I would like the Director to keep on staying with me too.”
