8th Grade Graduates of 2022 April (Rodi)

Humphrey (14) was brought to Achungo by his aunt and uncle 10 years ago because they could not afford to pay the fees for public school. They are elderly and have no income but survive from the small garden given them temporarily by family. Humphrey’s father abandoned the family and then his mother left his brothers and sister, leaving Humphrey alone. His aunt and uncle then took him in.

He told us, “When I arrived at Achungo, I was so happy and it was like a new life to me. The school environment was good and even teachers. The best thing is that we are like one family with no fighting.  Achungo is the best school and home for orphans, and I am very proud of it.  I do not just like it, but I love it. I always learn new things from my teachers.  Achungo is the best school ever and my life today has changed even if I do not know where my parents, brothers and sister are.  When I am through with my schooling I would like to be an engineer and also help some orphanages by buying for them what they need.“
