8th Grade Graduates of 2022 December (Imbo)

I have been at Achungo for 5 years. I find it so good because the school I came from taught in mother tongue (Luo, the home tribal language) but at Achungo all the teaching is in English and Swahili. Teachers here know how to teach and I see it improving my education.

I live in Kawiya Village in Kochia Ward with my mother. My father, George, died when I was quite small and I never knew him. My mother, Grace, was left with 5 children. My brothers are Felix, Sabbath, and Ali Bradi and my sister is Quinter. My mother sometimes works for people in their gardens in order to feed us.

I think if there was no Achungo, I would not be able to go to school. God did something for me that I did not know could be done. He sent Director Michael to our village. Director told my mother to bring me to Achungo in the morning because I was an orphan.

With my best friend, Roseline, we read together and I discuss with her anything difficult in my classes. During breaks we usually play volleyball and netball at Achungo. At home I like playing football with my friends. We always make sure that we have twelve so that there can be six on each team.

After my education I want to become a doctor so that I can help the community and give thanks for people who supported me in my education.
