I came to Achungo when I was in Class 5. My parents died when I was still young, my mother dying while giving birth to my brother. I had been at St. Alfred’s until my parents died. After that, I was left an orphan and a relative brought me to Achungo.
I live with my grandmother who is very aged and poor. My brother is Ramma and is at Achungo in preschool.
I had felt lonely at St. Alfred’s, but at Achungo I met friends and teachers who took me in as one of them. My life is different now because at Achungo we all have respect for each other. Here I’m in a safe place and in a healthy environment. The best thing that ever happened in my life is coming to Achungo. I like playing volleyball and reading storybooks with my friend, Josephine. On breaks, we like doing dramas and entertainment for enjoyment.
After my education, I would like to be a designer, because I want people to look smart and attractive. I also want to use the money I earn to better my life and the life of our people in the community. That’s my dream. If I have people praying for me and supporting me, I believe I can fulfill what my parents were unable to do for me.
