8th Grade Graduates of 2022 December (Imbo)

“I was at Kuoyo Kochia Primary School but could not pay the school fees (students are charged to be able to take any exam) so I came to Achungo (for 6th grade). Achungo is the best school because I can study without the demand for school fees. The best thing about Achungo is that when you have some problem our teachers help us. The teaching is much better than the school I attended before. I am working hard because my father has no money to pay for school fees for secondary school.

“I live at Kochia with my grandparents. My mother, Selestine, died when she was 36. My father is 40 and is a fisherman. My brothers are Brightone and Crivance and my sister is Emmaqulet. My older brother and sister had to drop out of school because of no money for school fees.

“I like reading storybooks together with friends because storybooks can make us write good compositions. When I am home, I help my grandparents with housework like washing clothes, mopping the house and cooking. They are very old and cannot do anything.

“When I finish my education I want to be a doctor because I do not want people to die. I especially don’t want children to die because I want them to be the future generation that helps people in the world.”
