“I came to Achungo 4 years ago after attending a nearby public school where I needed money to be able to take exams. Now that I am at Achungo, my life has changed and even my school performance has changed just because I am learning at Achungo. People here are loving and caring.
“I live in Homa Bay County with my parents. My father does not have a job. My mother died when I was very young and I cannot even remember her face. I am struggling to get an education so that I can help my father and my three sisters who are still young and my brother, Joash Paul. On breaks, I help my father with household chores.
“The best thing about Achungo is that they offer free education to disadvantaged children like street children and that’s why I chose Achungo as my place of learning. I know that God in Heaven will never let Achungo collapse because it is a school that has helped many orphans.
“With my friend Lenny, I discuss things that may help us in the future and we practice what we want to become. After completing my education, I want to become a doctor so that I can help my father who has high blood pressure and my brother who is always sick. The reason I want to be a doctor is to give vaccines to the Kenyan people to help people remain in the world. Another reason is that I want to help others the way I’ve been helped so that I can be remembered by many people. I would really be happy to see those who are suffering from different diseases like cancer to smile again.”
