Before I came Achungo, 3 years ago, I attended a school near our home in Migori County. Achungo attracted my parents and I because of its good performance.
My mother, Jackline is a primary school teacher, and my father, John, was a secondary school teacher but lost his job 5 years ago. So, my mother has been the one responsible for our basic needs. Both of my parents love God with all their hearts. I have 3 sisters and 3 brothers, from 15 years old to 4 months of age.
I think Achungo is the best school in our country. The teachers teach us with more than understanding and provide us with learning materials that make learning easier. The students are also well-behaved. The best thing about being at Achungo is learning for life. Our teachers give us guidance and counseling as well as our studies. With my best friend Daisy, I like to study and play our favorite games. I also enjoy singing.
When I am through with my schooling, I would like to become a doctor so I can take care of myself and other people. I will help my country in different ways. I was born with Sickle Cell Anemia and I’d like to become a doctor so I can care for my life. My motto is…Hard work pays!
