Juliana has served on the board of First Resort Pregnancy Care Center, coordinating successful fundraising events, as well as working on board governance and vision-casting. For several years she pursued a career as a teacher and Instructional Specialist in California and Switzerland, teaching first through third grades at a school for learning differences, as well as providing teacher training as a Master teacher in the Slingerland approach.
Her service activities have included several community service trips within the U.S. and abroad, in addition to tutoring and mentoring roles and serving on Executive Boards of the Hillview PTO and Menlo-Atherton PTA. She is a recipient of the 2012 Pillars of the Community Award from Menlo Park City School District.
Juliana is a graduate of USC with her Teaching Credential from Notre Dame de Namur University, Belmont, California, and along with her husband, Dana, and their children, Tim and Steffi, visited Achungo first in 2016.
