8th Grade Graduates of 2022 December (Imbo)

I live in Kagunga Village, with my father, Godfrey, and my mother, Damaris. They grow vegetables in our garden. I have five sisters and three brothers and all of us live in peace without fighting and we all believe in God Who created us.

I came to Achungo 1 year ago after attending Lwanda Kodote Primary. I found Achungo looking beautiful and that students were achieving high test scores. At Lwanda there were no activities like debate or football but Achungo has all kinds of activities. The teachers at Lwanda were not serious about the subjects they were supposed to teach, but at Achungo the teachers are very serious and want us to be good students. I think Achungo is the only school with disciplined students because I have never seen a student being punished here because he or she lacks discipline. That is why I think Achungo is the best school in our county of Homa Bay.

My favorite sports at Achungo are volleyball and football. I am a footballer. When I’m at home I like grazing our cattle, goats and sheep because that is the work that my parents told me to keep doing until they tell me to stop.

After my education I want to become a doctor simply because doctors treat very sick people first. For example, with the Corona disease, if there were no doctors to discover it, many people would have died. Doctors help governments to treat people equally and they are paid per month.
