I was living near Busia (in the north, near Uganda) with my parents and younger sister and brother until 4 years ago when we moved to Homa Bay County. At that time, I came to Achungo because it is the best school. It has everything, including a library and a computer room, and my former school had neither. The motto of Achungo makes me feel that I can achieve all if only I put more effort in my study.
My mom works as a pharmacist in Rodi. She has diabetes and my dad has blood pressure. We do not have a family garden.
I like to study with my best friend, Babrah Mitchelle. She knows math better than I do and I know social studies better, so we study together whenever we can. Besides my studies I also like to read storybooks. I am almost done reading all the 7th and 8th grade storybooks from the school library. On breaks I like spending time with my family watching educational channels and I play with my friends. We tell each other about our schools.
When I am all through with my schooling I would like to become a bio-engineer because you give hope to people who have lost hope. I like seeing people happy and so helping people with their body is one of the ways I think I can make them happy. Since my dad is a doctor I can help him with some of his patients when I become a bio-engineer. I sure hope that I can become a bio-engineer and make artificial parts for the people who have lost theirs.
