Belinda

8th Grade Graduates of 2022 April (Imbo)

I have been at Achungo for two years. Achungo is a boarding school and I get more time to study than at my former school and I can ask my teachers for help. The teachers in Achungo are so good and I have developed so much here.

I live with my grandmother and three siblings in Migori County. (She doesn’t have a job.) At school, my best friend is Selestine. She is so kind and cares for others. She usually tells me that, in everything we do, we should put God first. She helps me with things I don’t understand.

During breaktimes, I like to read my compositions with other students. When I go home, I help my grandmother with the household chores and with the garden since we don’t have anything and depend on it. I really need to help my grandmother.

After my education, I would like to be a pilot because many people have not gone to school in my community and I would like to show them many interesting places and sites. I hope to pass my examinations and be able to go to a national school but my grandmother cannot afford it. I write this letter hoping for help. Thank you. [Note that we pay for high school for all our graduates and Belinda is now in high school.]
