I came to Achungo nine years ago, entering Kindergarten. From the first I knew that with Achungo all my dreams will come true. I knew that it was the best school I had ever gone to. The pupils at Achungo perform very well in their exams.
I live in Awendo, Migori County, with my parents, Claris and Joash. He has no job but she works in a hairdresser shop earning about 6,000 shillings (about $50) per month. Both my parents are healthy. They have a small garden where they grow some vegetables and maize.
My sister, Marion, is 7 years old. She goes to school but sometimes is sent home, even for a month, because she can’t pay school fees. My brother, Sam, is three years old and hasn’t started school yet. My mother likes singing praise songs and she loves children with all her heart. My father loves football (soccer).
I like singing with my best friend and sometimes we will go to the school library and read books. When I am through with my schooling I want to do investment. I would like to be like Mr. Mark (one of our visiting team). The best thing I like about Achungo is the way the teachers love the pupils as if they were their own.
